Inside Comfort
The Tarra’s boxy inner tent has near‑vertical walls, creating excellent usable living space for two people and their gear. With a 105 cm interior height, it is comfortable for sitting up and sorting kit during long spells in bad weather. Two entrances give each occupant their own access and help manage condensation and airflow, particularly useful on extended trips.
Outside Performance
Built to Black Label standards, the Tarra uses Kerlon 1800 outer fabric paired with robust 10 mm poles for exceptional strength. The four‑pole dome design features five crossing points, delivering outstanding stability and snow‑load handling in winter storms, high winds and prolonged foul weather. The outer tent runs fully to the ground, and adjustable fabric panels back the mesh areas to control ventilation in cold or exposed conditions.
Setup
Despite its strength, the Tarra is straightforward to pitch. The self‑supporting dome structure requires only the vestibules to be pegged initially, making it practical on rocky ground or snow. Short pole sleeves and clip attachments speed up setup, while linked but separable inner and outer tents allow both to be pitched together to keep the inner dry.
