The Hilleberg Nammatj 3 GT is a four-season tunnel tent for two to three people who want exceptional strength, reliable weather protection and a large gear storage area for demanding UK conditions and remote trips worldwide.
Part of
Hilleberg's Black Label range, this tent is designed to handle any terrain or weather conditions, from the mildest to the most demanding.
Inside ComfortThe inner tent provides generous usable space, making it suitable for two occupants in comfort or up to three when needed. Its design supports longer camps in poor weather, with enough room to organise sleeping gear and essentials. The inner and outer are linked but separable, allowing them to pitch together and helping keep the inner dry during set-up and pack-down.
Outside Performance
Designed for true all-season use, the outer tent extends fully to the ground to protect against wind, rain and spindrift. Adjustable fabric panels back the mesh areas to fine-tune ventilation and warmth as conditions change. Kerlon 1800 outer fabric combined with robust 10-mm poles delivers outstanding strength and stability, making it well suited to exposed UK hills, winter camps, and remote environments where failure is not an option.
SetupThe tunnel construction offers an excellent space-to-weight ratio and works well for mobile journeys. Continuous pole sleeves and a simple tensioning system make pitching quick, efficient and consistent. The structure can stand with as few as four pegs, a practical advantage on hard ground, snow or when speed matters.
Optional Additions - Available SeparatelyFor added protection, an additional tough
Footprint can be purchased to help protect the tent’s floor from abrasion and to keep ground moisture from rising in the vestibule.

Understanding the Hilleberg Range
Hilleberg are widely regarded as one of the world's leading tent manufacturers, trusted by everyone from first-time backpackers to experienced mountaineers, expedition teams and outdoor professionals. Designed and developed in Sweden, Hilleberg tents have been used on every continent and have earned a reputation for exceptional reliability, innovative Kerlon fabrics and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the biggest misconceptions about Hilleberg is that the most expensive or strongest tent is automatically the best choice. In reality, every Hilleberg tent is designed for a specific purpose, balancing weight, strength, ventilation and living space to suit different environments and styles of adventure.
For example, while a Black Label tent offers outstanding strength for demanding conditions, it may not be the ideal choice for a lightweight summer trek or an extended trip in warmer climates. Likewise, a lightweight Yellow Label tent is perfect for many adventures but isn't designed for severe winter conditions. Choosing the right Hilleberg is about finding the tent that best matches where you'll go, the weather you'll encounter and how you like to travel.
That's why understanding Hilleberg's colour label system is so important.
Designed for snow-free conditions and warmer climates, Yellow Label tents are Hilleberg's lightest range. They prioritise low weight and excellent ventilation, making them ideal for summer backpacking, bikepacking, long-distance trails and lightweight trekking.
Red Label tents are Hilleberg's versatile all-season range, offering an excellent balance of strength, weight and comfort. For many people, they provide the ideal combination of durability and packability for year-round trekking in a wide variety of conditions.
Black Label tents are Hilleberg's strongest and most robust designs, built for demanding environments, prolonged use and severe weather. They prioritise maximum strength and durability where reliability is critical.
If you're unsure which Hilleberg is right for you, our Hilleberg specialists can help. Rather than recommending the most expensive model, we'll ask about the trips you have planned, the conditions you'll encounter and the features that matter most, helping you choose the tent that's best suited to your adventures.
