Altberg are a specialist British company, that manufacture boots for worldwide use. They have been manufacturing walking boots and hiking boots since 1989, with the aim of producing the best British walking boots for the worst British weather. Manufacturing boots at 2 small factories allows them to give their full attention to each pair of they make, and means they take pride in carrying forward their tradition as boot makers. Being situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales allowed Alt-berg good winter testing grounds for their boots, as well as on the Cairngorms and Cuillin mountains in Scotland. Their second factory is based in the Treviso region of Northern Italy.
