The Hilleberg Keron 4 is a four-season tunnel tent for groups that require outstanding strength, wind stability, and long-term reliability for challenging UK conditions and serious use anywhere in the world.
Part of
Hilleberg's Black Label range, this tent is designed to handle any terrain or weather conditions, from the mildest to the most demanding.
Inside Comfort
The inner tent offers a notably spacious and tall living area, making extended stays more comfortable when weather keeps you inside. There is ample room for occupants and their equipment, which suits longer trips, group travel, and situations where organization and comfort matter as much as protection from the elements.
Outside Performance
Built for true all-season use, the outer tent reaches the ground to help block winds, rain, and drifting snow. Adjustable fabric panels sit behind the mesh areas, giving you control over ventilation and warmth as conditions change. The Kerlon 1800 outer fabric paired with robust 10 mm poles delivers excellent stability in strong winds, a key reason the Keron range is widely trusted for exposed camps and long-term use.
Setup
The tunnel construction provides an efficient balance of space and weight, making it well suited to mobile journeys. The inner and outer tents are linked but can be separated, and they pitch together to help keep the inner dry. Continuous pole sleeves and a straightforward tensioning system allow for quick, consistent pitching. Dual entrances and vestibules mean one door can usually be positioned out of the wind while also offering flexible access and storage.
Optional Additions - Available SeparatelyFor added protection, an additional tough
Footprint can be purchased to help protect the tent’s floor from abrasion and to keep ground moisture from rising in the vestibule.

Understanding the Hilleberg Range
Hilleberg are widely regarded as one of the world's leading tent manufacturers, trusted by everyone from first-time backpackers to experienced mountaineers, expedition teams and outdoor professionals. Designed and developed in Sweden, Hilleberg tents have been used on every continent and have earned a reputation for exceptional reliability, innovative Kerlon fabrics and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the biggest misconceptions about Hilleberg is that the most expensive or strongest tent is automatically the best choice. In reality, every Hilleberg tent is designed for a specific purpose, balancing weight, strength, ventilation and living space to suit different environments and styles of adventure.
For example, while a Black Label tent offers outstanding strength for demanding conditions, it may not be the ideal choice for a lightweight summer trek or an extended trip in warmer climates. Likewise, a lightweight Yellow Label tent is perfect for many adventures but isn't designed for severe winter conditions. Choosing the right Hilleberg is about finding the tent that best matches where you'll go, the weather you'll encounter and how you like to travel.
That's why understanding Hilleberg's colour label system is so important.
Designed for snow-free conditions and warmer climates, Yellow Label tents are Hilleberg's lightest range. They prioritise low weight and excellent ventilation, making them ideal for summer backpacking, bikepacking, long-distance trails and lightweight trekking.
Red Label tents are Hilleberg's versatile all-season range, offering an excellent balance of strength, weight and comfort. For many people, they provide the ideal combination of durability and packability for year-round trekking in a wide variety of conditions.
Black Label tents are Hilleberg's strongest and most robust designs, built for demanding environments, prolonged use and severe weather. They prioritise maximum strength and durability where reliability is critical.
If you're unsure which Hilleberg is right for you, our Hilleberg specialists can help. Rather than recommending the most expensive model, we'll ask about the trips you have planned, the conditions you'll encounter and the features that matter most, helping you choose the tent that's best suited to your adventures.
