The Hilleberg Enan is an ultra-lightweight three-season solo tunnel tent for backpackers and travellers who want reliable shelter, excellent ventilation and minimal pack weight for use in conditions around the world.
Part of
Hilleberg's Yellow Label range, these tents are primarily designed to be lightweight and intended for use in warmer climates and in snow-free conditions.
Inside Comfort
The inner tent provides comfortable accommodation for one occupant and their gear, with enough length and a 93 cm inner height to sit up and move around with ease. Despite its very low weight, the Enan feels liveable rather than restrictive, making it a welcome refuge at the end of long days on the trail.
Outside Performance
Designed as a true three-season tent, ventilation is built directly into the construction. A full mesh inner door and mesh panels at the head and foot ends of the outer tent promote constant airflow in warm or humid conditions. For wind or rain, Kerlon 1000 fabric panels can be rolled down to cover the mesh ends, then stowed away when not needed. The Kerlon 1000 outer fabric, partnered with a full-strength 9 mm pole, delivers a reassuring balance of low weight and durability that stays true to Hilleberg standards.
Setup
The Enan uses a proven single-pole tunnel design that offers an excellent space-to-weight ratio and a very compact pitch. The inner and outer tents are linked but separable and pitch together to keep the inner dry. A continuous pole sleeve and simple tensioning system make pitching quick and straightforward. Basic pitching uses six pegs, giving a stable structure that performs well for mobile journeys.
Optional Additions - Available SeparatelyFor added protection, an additional tough
Footprint can be purchased to help protect the tent’s floor from abrasion and to keep ground moisture from rising in the vestibule. For when you want to pitch this tent's inner by itself in warmer climates.
For warm-weather use, an optional Pole Holder Set allows the inner tent to be pitched on its own by attaching securely to the inner’s corners – ideal when a flysheet isn’t needed.

Understanding the Hilleberg Range
Hilleberg are widely regarded as one of the world's leading tent manufacturers, trusted by everyone from first-time backpackers to experienced mountaineers, expedition teams and outdoor professionals. Designed and developed in Sweden, Hilleberg tents have been used on every continent and have earned a reputation for exceptional reliability, innovative Kerlon fabrics and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the biggest misconceptions about Hilleberg is that the most expensive or strongest tent is automatically the best choice. In reality, every Hilleberg tent is designed for a specific purpose, balancing weight, strength, ventilation and living space to suit different environments and styles of adventure.
For example, while a Black Label tent offers outstanding strength for demanding conditions, it may not be the ideal choice for a lightweight summer trek or an extended trip in warmer climates. Likewise, a lightweight Yellow Label tent is perfect for many adventures but isn't designed for severe winter conditions. Choosing the right Hilleberg is about finding the tent that best matches where you'll go, the weather you'll encounter and how you like to travel.
That's why understanding Hilleberg's colour label system is so important.
Designed for snow-free conditions and warmer climates, Yellow Label tents are Hilleberg's lightest range. They prioritise low weight and excellent ventilation, making them ideal for summer backpacking, bikepacking, long-distance trails and lightweight trekking.
Red Label tents are Hilleberg's versatile all-season range, offering an excellent balance of strength, weight and comfort. For many people, they provide the ideal combination of durability and packability for year-round trekking in a wide variety of conditions.
Black Label tents are Hilleberg's strongest and most robust designs, built for demanding environments, prolonged use and severe weather. They prioritise maximum strength and durability where reliability is critical.
If you're unsure which Hilleberg is right for you, our Hilleberg specialists can help. Rather than recommending the most expensive model, we'll ask about the trips you have planned, the conditions you'll encounter and the features that matter most, helping you choose the tent that's best suited to your adventures.
