Hilleberg Mesh Inner Tents are simple, versatile shelters designed for maximum airflow and 360° views on warm-weather trips. Used on their own, they offer a lightweight option for those who want to stay close to nature while ensuring complete insect protection. The finely knit, water-resistant mesh blocks all flying and crawling insects, while the sewn-in bathtub floor provides durable, fully waterproof protection against ground moisture. Pairing a Mesh Inner Tent with a Tarp creates an excellent lightweight shelter solution: enjoy the breezy openness of the mesh plus the rain and sun protection of the tarp.
Mesh Inner Tents can also replace the Standard Inner Tent in their corresponding models for added ventilation during warm-weather adventures. However you use them, they deliver a light, airy, and comfortable accommodation for trips in good conditions.
Mesh Inner Tents are sold separately, and poles and pegs are not included. Use the poles from your Hilleberg Unna tent, and the included pole holder kit allows you to pitch the inner tent or mesh inner on its own.

Understanding the Hilleberg Range
Hilleberg are widely regarded as one of the world's leading tent manufacturers, trusted by everyone from first-time backpackers to experienced mountaineers, expedition teams and outdoor professionals. Designed and developed in Sweden, Hilleberg tents have been used on every continent and have earned a reputation for exceptional reliability, innovative Kerlon fabrics and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the biggest misconceptions about Hilleberg is that the most expensive or strongest tent is automatically the best choice. In reality, every Hilleberg tent is designed for a specific purpose, balancing weight, strength, ventilation and living space to suit different environments and styles of adventure.
For example, while a Black Label tent offers outstanding strength for demanding conditions, it may not be the ideal choice for a lightweight summer trek or an extended trip in warmer climates. Likewise, a lightweight Yellow Label tent is perfect for many adventures but isn't designed for severe winter conditions. Choosing the right Hilleberg is about finding the tent that best matches where you'll go, the weather you'll encounter and how you like to travel.
That's why understanding Hilleberg's colour label system is so important.
Designed for snow-free conditions and warmer climates, Yellow Label tents are Hilleberg's lightest range. They prioritise low weight and excellent ventilation, making them ideal for summer backpacking, bikepacking, long-distance trails and lightweight trekking.
Red Label tents are Hilleberg's versatile all-season range, offering an excellent balance of strength, weight and comfort. For many people, they provide the ideal combination of durability and packability for year-round trekking in a wide variety of conditions.
Black Label tents are Hilleberg's strongest and most robust designs, built for demanding environments, prolonged use and severe weather. They prioritise maximum strength and durability where reliability is critical.
If you're unsure which Hilleberg is right for you, our Hilleberg specialists can help. Rather than recommending the most expensive model, we'll ask about the trips you have planned, the conditions you'll encounter and the features that matter most, helping you choose the tent that's best suited to your adventures.
