Details

Part of Roben's Airventure Range, the Aero Yurt is a versatile tent designed to provide multiple applications.

Made from HydroTex Polycotton RS, a tough, fast drying fabric designed for the rigours of family camping. It maintains a stable internal micro-climate and allows water vapour to freely pass through while keeping out water. Made from a cotton/ polyester mix with UV-inhibitors and a DWR finish to add longevity to the fabric.

An eight-person tent, a meeting room, play area or a hang out, this tent can do it all with a large front door backed with a mesh panel, internal curtains at the windows provide much needed privacy and low vents to aid air flow. A single inflation point also allows you to quickly and easily inflate the tent.

Huge tent palace
This is a massive, tall tent. This is both brilliant and less than brilliant in several ways. I'm reviewing this from the perspective of an average sized average strength woman - a big strong bloke might find it easy, a smaller woman might struggle more. There are several disadvantages from my experience listed below but I still think this is a fantastic tent - perhaps more fantastic as a party tent though and not a family tent. Advantages: Huge. Giant. Like sleeping in a cathedral. Not at all snug! If it rains and you have kids there is loads of space inside to run about. So much space it practically comes with its own echo. Surprisingly easy to put up on your own. Takes me about 15 minutes to peg it and pump it. The included pump works well although it does get tiring towards the end. Feels very good quality - I haven't used it in wind or rain but for the price I would expect it to do a good job. It really is super cool and looks brilliant. I haven't tested it in bad weather but it looks and feels robust. Got hot in warm weather but then all tents do. Disadvantages: No way to attach any inner so it is cold at night and felt a bit draughty even with the vents sealed up. Might be OK if you had lots of people keeping it warm but for two or three people it is chilly. Next time I might take another tent to pitch inside so we are cosier. This is obviously ridiculous - who pitches a tent within a tent?! But I do not like being cold. The lack of any attachment points also means that you can't screen off any areas for privacy / hiding mess. It's massive when packed up. I can't really lift it as it's a bulky 30kg. If it was wet it would be even worse. Think about where you would store it and whether it will fit in your car. Do not expect to be able to carry it any distance from the car. Putting it up and taking it down is fine on your own. Getting it back in the bag on your own is much harder. It should come with cinching straps so that you can squeeze it so it goes in more easily. Drying it at home is going to be a challenge unless you have a big garden or live in an actual barn. This isn't something you can put over the bannisters. There is no awning or way to attach one. So if it rains you will be cooking in the tent; it is gigantic so space isn't a concern but safety might be. I hope this is useful for people out there, I couldn't find many reviews when I was considering buying this. Have fun!
