Take a look at this fantastic facility along Exeter’s historic quayside with the South-West’s highest indoor wall.

We’ve been in a close partnership with The Quay since its birth in 2011. Built within Exeter’s former electricity works along Exeter’s historic quayside, this great centre is the South West’s largest indoor climbing wall. The walls within are perfect for climbers of all ages, abilities, and experiences. There are well over 200 routes to try at any time. There’s a 14.5 metre lead wall, top-roped walls from 7 to 11 metres, 7 auto belays for solo climbers and a dedicated novice zone as well as two boulder caves and training room. The Workshop Café offers a daily menu of home-cooked food prepared on-site by Chef Paul, including his famous pizzas, as well as cakes, coffees and Panini’s for you to enjoy after your climb.

We have sponsored many of the quay’s climbing competitions and events, including the summer and winter boulder league series and DWS competitions. We have also facilitated some very popular guest speaker evenings including the Sherpa Master Class and an evening talk from Neil Gresham in early 2014.

In a mark of our close partnership, all Quay members receive 15% off in all of our stores when presenting their membership card, we hold one of the best ranges of climbing gear in the country and are here to advise and help you choose the best equipment for your needs.

The Quay is open 7 days a week
