Product Info

The Ranger's has been a huge classic appealing to walkers and ramblers over many years. The new and updated Activ Fit is a fundamental update to the last (the shape the boot is built around), sole, footbed (insole) and overall design. These four elements combine to give better straight from the box comfort for the typical UK walker. Now featuring the BD last, which offers improved fit and increased performance while the Hi-Flex midsole offers the optimum balance of support and walking comfort and a Gore-Tex liner to help keep moisture out.

Like Ranger boots before, this one is a perfect companion to ramble and walk the paths and hills all across the UK, with a waterproof Gore-Tex lining, Vibram sole and quality calf leather to ensure your feet are dry and comfortable.

Product Questions

Please can you inform about width of this boot (Scarpa Men's Ranger II GTX Active Boots), and preferably generally? I have wide feet and need wider than average boots. I think, having purchased Scarpas previously, these are suitable but would like confirmation if possible.

Thanks for your question. Most Scarpa boots are in fact narrow because of the Italian production, however the Ranger is an exception. It is wide boot that should fit a width measurement from C+ to E- (estimated size suggestions). I would say that if you are after a wide 3 season boot that is easy to care for then the Scarpa Ranger is suitable.

can you use a set of yeti full rand gaiters with these boots

Thanks for your question.

Yes, you can use the Berghaus Yeti full rand gaiters with these boots.

I have a narrow heel and reasonably narrow foot. Scarpa Ranger or Altberg Nordkap?

Hello, thanks for your question. Without the facility to measure your feet, I would go for the Nordkapp, the narrower heel on the Nordkapp in conjuntion with the narrower forefoot sounds like a really good choice,. The Ranger is a relatively roomy fit and I'm guessing that you may fit that your heels are not held securely.
