Part of Robens' Outback Range, the Kiowa is built on a classic tipi design.
The extended front porch has it's own detachable bathtub style groundsheet, providing a rain-safe entrance to protect the inside of the tent and also gives a great storage spot for muddy footwear. A middle zipped door keeps the central section sealed and draught-free.
Inside, is a large open space which can sleep up to 10 people, perfect for a large family looking for a communal camping experience, or a great base camp tent for DofE or Scouts.
Robens have incorporated a new Internal Apex Vent Control, which allows you to open and close the top cap from the inside, via 2 simple cords which run neatly down the tent side. Within the top cap is a stovepipe port which makes the tent stove compatible, with the Denali or Kobuk stoves being the perfect partners.
To allow the best venting for the tipi design, there is a high-low venting system which draws air in from the bottom and out the top cap. Extra air-flow can be obtained thanks to the zip-open windows with mesh layer and mesh front door; allows optimum ventilation without the bugs!
The HydroTex Polycotton is a durable tight-weave fabric with a water repellent treatment that assists rain run off on the tent walls. In heavy rain the fibres swell to form a waterproof seal and the UV-inhibitor treatment helps the fabric to last for years with care. The superb breathable fabric maintains the tent's micro-climate by eliminating condensation and keeping the internal temperature cool in the summer and warm when the temperatures fall.
For added comfort, an additional Footprint can be pitched first to help you pitch your tent in the correct spot first time and prevent the underside getting dirty or wet, or the addition of a soft polyester tent floor provides under foot comfort and warmth and a optional Inner defines a sleeping area for up to six people.
