Product Info

The popular Microlight has returned for Winter 2018 with fresh new colours and updated designs. The new 4 panel body design improves the fit of this garment by adding a side panel in replacement of a seam and the updated cuff hides away the elastic for a clean, yet comfortable finish.

The Pertex Quantum outer is made from a tightly woven structure to provide a light and soft fabric that allows the down to fully loft and improve the efficiency of insulation. As well as a durable water repellent finish designed to shed light rain, the 750FP of R.D.S Certified European Goose Down has a hydrophobic coating which allows the down to keep you warm even when you get caught in that unexpected rain shower.

The micro stitch-through baffle construction minimises the amount of outer fabric and stitching required and prevents the down from migrating in the jacket minimising cold spots and reducing weight.

A stuff sack makes light work of transporting your jacket safely and eliminate those cold spots with ease thanks to the slim fit, elasticated cuffs and dual hem draw cord adjustments.

Product Questions

Product Questions

2 questions: How long is the Rab microlight jacket and what is the difference, length wise between this jacket, the alpine microlight jacket with hood and the long alpine microlight jacket with hood? What sort of temperatures does "ideal for moderately cold temperatures" refer to? Thanks

The back length from the collar seam to the hem is approximately 75 cm on the Microlight and Alpine and aproximately 5 cm longer on the Long version. It is very difficult to quote figures for temperature due to the number of variables involved, but consider the insulation as similar to a medium weight fleece with a windproof layer on top, so good if you are active down to perhaps 0 degrees.
