Part of Hilleberg's Yellow Label range. These tents are primarily designed to be lightweight and intended for use in warmer climates and in snow-free conditions. They feature inner tents with large mesh panels which cannot be covered as well as full-time venting integrated into their construction. This ensures they have superb warm-weather venting, but can also make them feel cold in cooler conditions. Perfect for long or short trips in more protected terrain.
The Enan is modelled after Hilleberg's award-winning Akto, with the goal of making a three season version that is light as possible without compromising on strength. It offers near-luxury, all-season shelter for the solo traveller and it is only slightly heaver than a bivvy bag. It's an ideal choice any time you need the lightest weight, all season solo tent. Long distance backpackers will especially appreciate having a sturdy, comfortable room of their own at the end of a long day on the trail and hikers, climbers, bicycle tourers and sea kayakers alike embrace its lightweight roominess and a pack size that's small enough to fit into a side pocket.
The single pole construction offers excellent space to weight ratio and sturdy fibreglass rods in both the head and foot end of the outer tent provide extra height and more usable space. These also make it the ideal tent for tall users who struggle to find a solo tent that has enough room. Basic pitching requires only six pegs in the head and foot end guy lines, and the simple, single-opening, continuous pole sleeve and tensioner system is quick to pitch and remarkably stable. Looped guy lines affixed to twin attachments on each side of the pole increase stability in poor conditions.
The Enan's venting system is built into its construction: a full mesh inner tent door, in combination with outer tent head and foot ends of tough mesh both allows and encourages constant air flow. For very windy and rainy conditions, fabric panels can be rolled down and secured to cover the outer tent's mesh ends and when not in use, these panels roll up and stuff into integrated pockets. The single entrance and vestibule configuration affords easy access as well as storage space, integrated stowage pockets in the inner help to keep you organised and the high bathtub floor keeps out ground water.
The Kerlon 1000 flysheet is a 20D high tenacity ripstop nylon fabric; with a tear strength of 8kg, it is very light, with plenty of strength for 3-season use.
For when you want to pitch this tents inner by itself in warmer climates. You can purchase an additional Pole Holder Set which include pole holders that are designed to attached to the corners of the inner, allowing you to pitching this tent without the flysheet.
