Outwell Tents: It’s in the details

Take a look up close at all the nifty features which make an Outwell family tent so very tempting

With the year we’ve had, we owe it to ourselves to have that perfect getaway under the stars. Outwell tents are a superb option for you and the family to properly escape the house which we’ve all gotten to know a little too well over the long months of staying indoors. Outwell’s superb range of BIG tents is sure to be the envy of every campsite this season; their new range of outstanding family tents is absolutely packed with luxurious and innovative features which you won’t find in any other brand’s models. Today, we’re looking at all of the fantastic features which are packed into Outwell tents and then showing you some superb options for you and the family to pitch up and have a wonderful time outdoors this Summer. Outwell have certainly outdone themselves and we can guarantee that it’ll be difficult to find a family campsite this Summer without one of their terrific new tents.

Innovative features unique to Outwell

There is never a season where Outwell does not come up with something new and highly regarded within the family camping field. These combine to create something that looks and feels very distinctly Outwell. When pitching, using or simply lounging within their tents, they certainly feel distinct, not like other family tents, and that’s a good thing! Let’s take a look at some of their latest innovations which maybe may feel small, but really do make all the difference. These little things really separate Outwell from its peers.

Quick and Quiet Doorways

If you haven’t heard or seen Outwell’s Quick and Quiet door technology, it is a way of accessing bedroom compartments quickly and silently without having to fiddle with a zip. It is made using magnetic strips which have been sewn nicely into the door fabric. You simply pull the doors apart step through and let go; the door will fall and close completely on it’s own silently. This has been hailed for it’s ingenuity, simplicity and practical value. If you need to get up in the night, you won’t need to fumble for a zip in the dark or wake anybody up with loud noise. It is also very easy for children to use and you won’t have to keep telling them to close the doors again as that is taken care of automatically. Once our stores are back open, we thoroughly recommend taking a look at these when on display in the Exeter tent room or at our Tent show in Exeter in May! (Restrictions at that time dependant.)
Quick and quiet doors are now available across Outwell’s range, you’ll be able to find them in all of their larger tents.

Panorama Doorways

All Outwell tent’s come with fully adaptable and easy to stow front doorways which allow a superb view into the Outdoors and really help it seamlessly blend into your living space. The doors can be fully closed, unzipped and rolled up at multiple points along it’s width to make the doorway larger or smaller from either side, unzipped at the top to provide added ventilation whilst maintaining privacy on hot days, fully opened and rolled neatly to one side for good storage, or zipped off entirely to convert the front of the tent into a convenient porch area, perfect for sitting in the shade. Often overlooked, a good, wide front door makes all the difference and that adaptability can be so useful in changing your living space to suit different moods, activities and conditions.

Superb Ventilation

On hot summer days after hours of running around, heading out on walks and sitting in the sun, you need a cool tent to return to. Ventilation is everything! Outwell recognise this important need and  have fully outfitted all of their family camping tents with excellent ventilation points, all backed with insect proof sheeting which is also featured on the tent side doors to keep the bugs at bay. You’ll find rear and side vents on each tent which when working with the panorama doorways allow air to pass through the tent, not sitting in their being heated up by the sun’s unrelenting rays. To be sat reading in a cool shaded area while the kids play outside is to be at the very centre of your own chilled out, outdoor, peaceful palace and it is absolutely wonderful!

Easy Sleeping

One of the biggest obstacles camping is sleep, some people simply find it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep when camping. Outwell however make it easy with generously sized bedrooms allowing you to really push what a comfortable camp bedroom can be, they give you space to pile in the camp beds, quilts and pillows or any of Outwell’s amazing sleep products. Some of the model’s feature superb dark inner bedrooms which keep the morning light at bay allowing a full morning of uninterrupted slumber. Even kids will sleep in longer allowing you precious extra hours of shut eye. Those of you who can’t go without your tech can rest assured that Outwell bedrooms come with access points for electric outlets so you can keep your phone charged and catch up with the latest episodes on your laptop or hey … why not a tv? You have the space.

Hooktrack System

Outwell’s Hooktrack system is a smart yet simple concept designed to deliver safety and convenience for campers that is reliable in function and easy to use. It enables the wires for lighting and other electrical devices to be routed securely out of the way to avoid accidental damage and trip hazards. Plus, it allows lights to be positioned where needed and for light items to be hung on lines to dry. These are a great way of customising your space and making it truly yours, you won’t have to put the dining table in a designated spot; you can dine where you wish knowing that you can hang a light above it for meals and late night card games.
