Our perfect Robens camping set up

Take a look as we give you our ideal kit list for the ultimate luxury night out under the stars using only Robens gear.

Robens pride themselves on their beautiful Scandinavian design, high quality materials and ultimate ease of use. The Danish really like camping, it goes hand in hand with their relatively flat landscape, beautiful green meadows in the summer months and broad scenic forests. At Taunton Leisure, we’re always very happy to show off our superb range of Robens outdoor goodies as they certainly do have everything you need for a wondrously comfortable and stress free night under the stars. Across their many products you’ll find an amazing selection of high quality goodies which are perfect for your getaway into nature.
Today, we’re going to be exploring their range and picking out our perfect list of Robens gear that’ll more than certainly add a much welcomed Scandinavian spin to your overnight adventures this summer in campsites across the UK and beyond. We’ll be starting with the big question. Of their many tents, which one would we choose?

The Tent: Robens Klondike

Year after year we see these classic bell tents go away with very happy campers, these wonderfully spacious tents are amazing for those seeking a more rustic but supremely comfortable night out. Part of Robens' Outback Range, these eye-catching, retro and stand out from the crowd tents feature proven technical performance, modern manufacturing expertise and quality materials.

The roomy and popular Klondike offers excellent levels of comfort for up to six people. The front vertical door allows for easy access - especially in bad weather and protective eaves run around the tent to shelter the door and walls from rain run off. A vertical zip gives you the option to open one half of the door at a time, or you can roll both sides back for full opening. Mesh ventilation panels in the door also aids airflow.

Featuring Robens Internal Apex Vent Control, this simple and highly effective solution controls airflow by pulling and locking off two cords that run through integral channels.

Low level mesh venting compliments the apex vent for ideal air movement throughout the tent. This also works perfectly when you choose to use a stove such as the Denali or Kobuk. A stovepipe port in the top cap and zip in the groundsheet to the centre pole make stove use safe and practical and creates a area for muddy footwear, keep the rest of your tent clean and dry.

The zip on groundsheet is designed to be pegged out first, helping you pitch your tent in the correct spot and then zip on the flysheet, leaving enough gap by the door to allow enough slack to insert the centre and A-frame door pole.

The HydroTex Polycotton is a durable tight-weave fabric with a water repellent treatment that assists rain run off on the tent walls. In heavy rain the fibres swell to form a waterproof seal and the UV-inhibitor treatment helps the fabric to last for years with care. The superb breathable fabric maintains the tent's micro-climate by eliminating condensation and keeping the internal temperature cool in the summer and warm when the temperatures fall.

Ultimate warmth: The Robens Kobuk Tent Stove

Going into the Klondike tent, we simply have to have a good stove to keep us supremely warm overnight and during our evening revels, the Kobuk stove works seamlessly with the Klondike exiting through the chimney opening at the top of the tent.  With a low firebox height for heat efficiency, and stovepipe baffle for varied control of combustion intensity and rate, this wood burning tent stove provides a great heat and cooking source for most stove compatible tents.

Very easy to assemble, the stovepipe sections all fit inside the main firebox whilst the 2 legs fold in for compact, and easy transportation in the supplied carry bag.

The front fuel loading door has a small glass inspection window, so you can keep an eye on fuel levels, and the detachable drying rails are great added features.

There is a removable top plate which gives direct access to the main firebox and a pair of heat-resistant gloves are included to keep you protected.
