Kampa: your path to the perfect family tent

We’re going to explain everything to think about when considering  which Kampa tent is perfect for you.

We’re very proud to have a wide range of tents, furniture and accessories from Kampa. It’s a brand we really trust to offer a great camping experience, something we all look for when heading out to the nations campsites for an outdoor getaway.

Since its founding in Sussex, it has only taken 10 years to solidify Kampa’s place as one of Europe’s most recognised outdoor leisure brands. Their eye for detail and experienced design team have come up with industry leading products perfect for the modern day family camper. All designed within the UK, Kampa tents are named after beautiful British and European beaches. Within their range is a rich variety of in house designed features including their own AirPole construction and WeatherShield Classic Polycotton flysheets, all for incredibly good prices. Look out for their full tent packages which include a tent, footprint and carpet.

But what is right for you? We will be going through all of the facts and features on offer within our entire Kampa tent range so you can choose YOUR perfect family camping tent.

Our Kampa Range

We have handpicked our favourite selection of tents from Kampa’s terrific range of large family shelters. We’ve chosen them for their very well thought out inflatable air construction which is easy to pitch, high quality choice of materials and some wonderfully clever features which you can find across the entire range.

Kampa Fabrics

Our range of Kampa tents use a variety of different outer fly fabrics with different utilities:

Kampa’s PRO Air range uses a 150D polyester fly fabric they call Weathershield, it is a great all round option when camping in the outdoors. Polyester flysheets make for lighter and smaller packing tents which make it far easier to pack into the boot of the car with all the additional furniture and other gear thrown in as well. Weathershield is wonderfully water resistant and can handle just about any rain thrown at it without issue. Tents available built with Weathershield include the Studland 8, Studland 6, Croyde 6, Hayling 6 and Hayling 4.

Kampa’s Advantage Air range takes the Weathershield Fabric and makes it even lighter at only 68D. This makes for some of the lightest weight, large family tents available on the market! Perfect for quick weekend getaways on a whim. This range features the perfect family camping starter tents for all those new, looking to get a good priced, reliable tent and include the Wittering 6 Air and Wittering 4 Air which both come as a set including a tent footprint to keep it safe from the ground over years of use and an interior carpet which adds a great deal of comfort. These tents are incredible value for money, packing in everything you need for a luxurious family tent for some of the best prices around.
Kampa’s CLASSIC Air range all use a wonderful Polycotton outer fly called Weathershield Classic, this is a hybrid material containing as the name would suggest a mixture of polyester and cotton, this fabric breathes wonderfully keeping the air inside cool on sunny days. Its insulative properties also keep the air inside warmer on chilly nights. Still holding very good water resistant properties which keeps the rain out nicely, it also deals with any condensation inside the tent wonderfully, absorbing moisture into the fabric where it’ll then evaporate into the air outside. Tents included with the Weathershield classic are the Studland 8 Classic, Studland 6 Classic, Hayling 6 Classic and Hayling 4 Classic. We would recommend Weathershield Classic for those heading out on long getaways in the summer who are looking for optimal comfort and luxury.

So Why AirPoles?

Our entire range of Kampa tents uses their own AirPole technology, these inflatable poles are inflated and pressurized using a manual pump which comes included with each tent. The Main feature to think about with AirPoles is that they are considerably quicker and easier to pitch than traditional poled tents, everything is already built into the structure so it really is a simple as pegging out the tent’s main four corners and then inflating each individual AirPole. Because of the flexibility of the inflatable poles, they can be more wind resistant when compared to standard pole tents of the same size as AirPoles cannot snap in incredibly strong gusts.

Kampa Features

One of the reasons we chose to supply Kampa tents this year was their extensive list of great features available with their tents. It really made Kampa stand out from other brands, showing just how well thought out these tents are. Here are some of favourite features available within the range which we believe really deserve highlighting.

Multi Point Inflation

Multi point inflation AirPoles are inflated and deflated individually for the simplest set-up and take down. Even large 8 person Kampa tents can be pitched in as little as 10 minutes, perfect for when you arrive at the campsite and just want to chill out. This feature is available on our entire range of Kampa tents.

QuickPitch™ Guying System

Kampa’s Quickpitch Guying System pushes a quick and easy pitch time even further, simply peg the bottom strap taut and adjust the buckle to easily apply really good tension throughout the tent. This feature is available on the CLASSIC AIR and PRO AIR ranges.

Zipped Blinds

Zipped Blinds are available on both the CLASSIC and PRO models of the Studland and Hayling Tents. These a just a really nice, quick and simple approach to getting some privacy or opening up the outside world into your space.

All Kampa tents have crystal clear BIG WINDOWS perfect for letting the outdoors into the tent so that you can really immerse yourself in outdoor light.

Sleep-Tite Bedrooms

Sleep-Tite Bedrooms are inner tents which utilize dark materials to block out early morning sunlight for good morning’s lie in. It is remarkable what a difference these make. Available on all CLASSIC Air and PRO Air tents.

An additional Wardrobe Pole (sold seperately) clips into the Studland, Hayling and Croyde model’s right or left hand inner compartments creating very cool hanging storage to keep everything tidy and spacious.

Looking for even more space? The Studland models also present the option of an additional Annexe (sold separately) which easily zips on to the tents left side door. It makes for the perfect storage space keeping all of the clutter out of your main living area. It also has clips for the wardrobe pole.
