Take a look at our new range of Fjällräven’s Abisko tent range and see just why we are… so… very… excited about it!

Fresh from Scandinavia’s favourite design house (and that is saying something), Fjällräven’s range of tents is without a doubt an industry favourite. Well known for being spacious, durable and more than knowing of what is required for a properly comfortable, easier time in the outdoors, under the stars. We are delighted to officially announce here that we have taken on a varied selection of their Abisko tent range.

But, what does Abisko mean in relation to tents?

Abisko is the namesake for Fjällräven’s line of lightweight trekking gear, it includes clothing, packs, and yes, tents. It is named after Abisko National park in Sweden which houses vast beautiful Swedish hills, mountains, and landscapes as well as the beginning of Sweden’s King’s Trail, its longest and most well-known hiking trail. It also happens to house plenty of moose, reindeer, golden eagles, and of course the odd lemming. This rough, beautiful landscape is precisely the kind of environment that their Abisko collection was built for. It crosses over nicely with Scottish landscapes as well as our British national parks. But, now onto tents! We currently keep 3 different models of the Abisko collection in stock with another coming soon that we cannot weight to show you.

The Abisko Dome

Available within our range in 2 and 3 person options, these are lightweight and spacious dome tents with two generous vestibules, it is made for 4-season use. Self-supporting three-pole construction with good height and excellent ventilation. A lightweight and comfortable trekking tent for four-season use, in all conditions except the most exposed.
Two large entrances simplify tent life, enabling you to organise one side each inside the tent and use the lee-side entrance in windy weather. With two vestibules, there is plenty of space for equipment, cooking and activities when the weather is bad.
The outer doors can be rolled up to half way and fastened in place with an auto-lock that won’t let the zipper “creep” in strong winds. All openings, including the inner tent door, are backed with a fine mesh that keeps out even the smallest, barely visible insects.
Multiple positioned vents maintain a comfortable environment by optimising airflow, whilst helping combat condensation and internal humidity.
The tent has a comfortable sitting height and a good area for socialising. There is a detachable mesh shelf in the inner tent and several mesh pockets for storing gear.
