I have been the proud owner of a Fjallraven Kaipak 38 for over 4 years now and thought I\u2019d share a long-term review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, this is by far my favourite pack and gets the most use out of all my packs, and I have a lot of packs! The Kaipak 38 to me is the perfect blend of size, comfort, features, durability, and style. The 38L size makes it perfect for a winter day walk carrying extra layers, summer overnight wild camping trips with lightweight gear, or long day walks where I\u2019ll carry my wife’s kit as well as my own, it even fits as carry-on size so has been on a few city breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the standouts of this pack is that it does not in fact stand out. It has a clean unfussy design, but everything you want from a modern pack, it looks at home wherever you take it or use it, and never says \u201clook at me I\u2019m an outdoor enthusiast\u201d. I also adore the fabric, it is G1000 polycotton, it’s very durable, does not mark very easily and keeps the worst of the weather out, and looks great. The final and probably most important thing with the Kaipak 38 is how well it carries a load, its super comfy a bag this small, should not be able to really carry some of the heavier loads I have given it, but always it transfers the load comfortably to my hips, even when carrying a winter camp set up, I was blown away with how well it handles heavier loads. I should mention this pack is fixed length, so should not really work for very short or very tall people, however, I\u2019m 5\u20196 and Oli is 6\u20196 and we have both used this same pack comfortably, that really is a testament to how well you can adjust the straps and webbing on it to get it to work for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
