The North Face Women's Arctic Parka - Black is part of our Winter 2011 Collection.

We have been advised that due to a delay from North Face, delivery of stock will be at the end of December.

A faux fur trim adds to the winter style on the Women’s Arctic Parka from The North Face, fully waterproof and insulated for protection on the wildest of winter days.

This stylish trenchcoat features luxurious 550 fill goose down insulation for a robust line of defence against freezing temperatures, enhanced by that collar trim around the adjustable and detachable hood and internal fleece in the cuffs.

Seam-sealed waterproof protection meanwhile comes courtesy of a HyVent® membrane, repelling rain, snow and splashes on the outside while simultaneously allowing moisture to escape from the inside and leave you comfortable. Chest, side and internal pockets meanwhile provide plenty of room to stow belongings.

Have been searching all over for a nice looking insulated coat for these bitter temperatures we are experiencing, and almost lost the will to live with return after return of coats/jackets that were either ugly, poorly made or left me looking like the Michelin man. Finally hit upon this little number and bingo! Read all the reviews thoroughly, satisfied myself with the spec and bit the bullet, although the price still makes me think 'Did I really spend that on a coat'. But then the others I returned were all around £100. Won't bore you with spec details...they are what they say on the tin. More importantly, fit and quality. I'm 5ft 2, size 10 but with bigger than average boobs. I ordered a medium in brunette brown (which is a stunning colour) and it fits perfectly. The style of the coat is simple and classic and doesn't make you look 4 sizes wider than you are. It is beautifully made and actually manages to look quite elegant and classy for something that is a practical purchase. Plenty of pocket space, great fleecy cuffs in the sleeves, a nicely proportioned hood and an all round best buy. The coat length falls below my knees where I'm short but the way I see it this'll keep my legs nice and toasty so I'm not complaining! Great reduction with Taunton Leisure and definitely something I've justified as an investment purchase that I can see myself having for many, many years. 10th Feb, 2012
