The advanced HyActive™ fabric has been specially engineered for optimal thermal and breathable performance, its super-light hollow-core yarn trapping warm air to provide insulation when you need it and rapid moisture transport away from the skin when you work up a sweat. Either way, athletes stay cool, calm and collected as they tackle their next challenge.

The fabric is hypoallergenic and resistant to odour, and features minimal, flatlocked seams to reduce the risk of chafing.

A quarter-length zip adds to the flexible wearing options on this supremely efficient layer.

I have got a few base layers and this is one of my favourites, it's quite long in the body so stays tucked in when I'm on the bike and is nice to wear all day. Warm enough without being too hot, i've played sport, cycled, walked and run in it and it's great. Washed it loads of times and it's stayed the same. I have got 1 merino top and it compares well with this but much less money. 14th Feb, 2011
