The ability to have an open fire inside the tentipis is a unique experience. Taunton Leisure have different options available for you:  Choose from the Hekla Firebox, Etna/ Heat Pal spirit burner or the Eldfell Stove and the cosy scene is set for sitting round the fire with family and friends. The unique comfort groundsheet allows the centre to be folded back so the fire sits directly on the ground.

The Etna/ Heat Pal is both a cooker and a heater with an adjustable flame and a non-pressurised burner running on methylated spirits. It has a minimum burn time of 5 hours, producing up to 1.5kw. The base unit houses the burner and supports pots and pans, and the lid acts as a heater top to cover the flames. Set on low the heater will last through the night and be ready to brew your coffee in the morning!

This robust unit will provide years of service and is the preferred option for use inside Tentipi for cooking and heating.

Please also note that the Heat Pal extra tank, shown at the front of the image, is not included.

Please note there is a dent in the metal circle surrounding the mesh centre, this is not a fault and is used to fill your container with fuel.

How do you seal the fuel container so the unused fuel does not evaporate?

There is nothing to seal the fuel container on the HeatPal, but it doesn't leak out if its unused. Only a small amount of fuel will evaporate so if there is still some fuel left, its okay to leave it in there untill the next time it is used. Ideally you would fill as much or as little fuel as you think you might require everytime you use it.
