A modern classic, the Joan of Arctic combines Sorel’s celebrated cold-weather performance with a stylish design that’s as smart on urban streets as it is warm in a deep snowpack.

Crafted from waterproof full-grain and suede leather, the high-cut upper is topped with a faux fur snow cuff. A removable recycled felt InnerBoot and 2.5mm felt frost plug armor toes against the cold down to -25° below zero, while the classic handcrafted waterproof vulcanized rubber shell offer a level of warmth and durability that never goes out of style.

5 stars Beauty & function combined in a sturdy boot Written by Karen Bryan
I received my Sorel Joan of Arctic boots yesterday, just two days after ordering them. The boots are much more stylish and gorgeous than the photo implies. The quality of the boots is top notch and they are incredibly warm. They look and feel great, although be warned that they are a little on the heavy side due to the thick inner lining and the handcrafted natural rubber soles. The liner is removable, which does mean that should they ever become wet you will be able to dry them out effectively. I would warn that, as I have read on other reviews elsewhere, they have a tendency to run a little small. I take a UK size 7 (but can wear a 6.5 in some shoes and trainers) so I decided to order size 7.5, and I'm glad that I did. My right foot is my slightly larger one, and the stiffness of the boots where the suede joins the rubber, makes the right boot rather tight to put on, however the left boot slid on easily. I was concerned that with ski socks on I wouldn't be able to wear the 7.5s, but they still fit snuggly. Although if I was ordering a second pair I would probably try an 8 instead. I'm looking forwards to trying them out in the snow in a couple of weeks when I go on holiday, but these boots are so stylish that I can't wait for colder weather to arrive here so I can wear them here in the UK :) These are boots you can wear with pride anywhere. 1st Jan, 2012
