An absolute classic the SL from Scarpa has been Britain's favourite 3 - 4 season quality boot for many years. The new SL Activ build on the inveable reputation by adding in new design elements and fit features to keep the Scarpa SL at the top of the pile.

Scarpa have introduced the Activ Fit to a number of models and the SL gets this fresh approach to 'out the box' comfort.  Not just marketing jargon, Activ Fit is a fundamental update to the last (the shape the boot is built around), sole, footbed (insole) and overall design. These four elements combine to give better straight from the box comfort for the typical UK walker.

The SL itself is aimed at serious walkers that venture out year round and want support and dependability in rugged and rough terrain. Also suitable for C1 rated crampons this extends the use to winter hills and easy glacier crossings without the need for a dedicated winter specific boot.

The Scarpa SL is an 'investment' product, quality material, quality manufacture and I doubt a boot model has done as many Munros. Corbetts or miles as the SL. Highly recommended.
