The Rab Ascent is a women's down jacket designed for mountain walking, hill walking, trekking, travel and daily winter use.

Very warm for its weight and relatively light, the water resistant fabric also means this jacket is very durable and ideal for use in snow.

Ordered this jacket on a Thursday and received it on the Saturday- great service. I am thrilled with it. I am a size 14 and ordered large and it' a perfect fit. I especially like the fact that it is slightly longer than other makes of insulated jackets.It looks great, it is so warm but not bulky at all.

Is this coat waterproof?

Unfortunately no, the Rab Ascent Jacket (Womens) is not waterproof. It is Goose Down Fill.

I have tried this jacket on in a shop in a size 12 is that a medium

What temperatures will this coat be good for? I need something that is able to deal with -25 degrees! Thanks ams

Thanks for your question, -25 is pretty cold! The Ascent jacket is aimed at winter and cold weather use but perhaps that temperature would be at the limit of the usage. If you layer up with a good base layer / thermal and fleece then it could be suitable. In my experience -25 in Sweden for example is cold but with the right layers I would be happy with the Ascent.
