The Sm Lite from Salomon is an excellent example of an ultra-lightweight snow trekking/mountaineering boot. Made from mountain leather with a synthetic lining for insulation and a high cut for ankle protection, a gusseted tongue to eliminate outside debris from entering the boot, with locking lace cleats, gliding eyelet inserts and a rubber rand around the base of the boot for total foot protection.
The sole is Salomon's patent Mountain Contagrip with an advanced chassis, able to fit a Semi-automatic crampon. A good boot for mountaineering and rugged UK winter walking.
