Variety is the name of the game for Portuguese climbing. This book caters for everyone, from bouldering up to sport climbing, and even suggests some trad style excursions in the south of the country. When the Med turns cloudy, you get smooth inky water and bad humidity. Here on the west coast facing the Atlantic, the wind is nearly always fresh and lifts the spirit. If you have enjoyed climbing in Cornwall, then this is like a super warm Cornwall. The sea can be chilly, so a wet suit is advisable for surfing.
