The 2008 VAUDE Mark II Vent sleeps three comfortably in its large rectangular inner space, and is a popular choice for backpacking due to its quick and easy pitching.
Uses a shock-cord suspension system between the flysheet and pole, and because it pitches outer tent first the inner stays dry when pitching in the rain. The inner can be left attached to the fly for faster pitching and taking down.
Two generous equal sized porches allow good access/storage, and a two-way zip on the door allows it to be positioned to the left or right depending on the wind direction.
New for this season is the inclusion of a unique ground venting mesh panel that allows air to pass through, but restricts rain and insects, thus adding significant breathability to the tent even with the porch doors closed.
