The Grivel G14 GSB crampons combine the technical performance of forged, vertical front points with a low profile, collapsible frame to make an altogether fresh, modular, and customisable crampon suited to many climbing disciplines.
The forged front points penetrate hard ice better with less vibration, and offer the opportunity to combine vertical and horizontal axis.
Front points are simple to configure on the G14, allowing the user to build mono or dual point crampons. The low profile of the crampon frame places the climber's foot closer to rock or ice, and is less prone to balling up.
The GSB binding system is a new development pioneered by Grivel and Scarpa to provide a safe and foolproof crampon binding system. It leaves the toe of the boot clear thus opening up more foot placements in cracks and on restricted footholds. It also avoids snagging or tripping on protrusions.
It is a very quick and easy system to fit. (Ensure your boots have GSB fitting).
