The Galaxy Classic from Mammut is one of the world's most robust 10mm ropes. A basic rope, with very low impact force, designed for extreme sports climbing.
Single ropes are the standard type of climbing rope. They can be used for most climbs, according to their diameter and length. Their main advantage is that they are simple to handle and have a wide range of uses. A disadvantage is that you can only climb up to half the rope length, afterwards descending by rappel or lowering.
A single strand can resist at least 5 standard falls with a weight of 80 kg.
