The Páramo Fuera Windproof Smock is constructed from tough and durable Nikwax windproof fabric. Lightweight and quick drying, it's suited to a wide range of outdoor activities.

Ultralight with a contoured fit, it will stow into its own pocket and features articulated arms and elbows, a fixed adjustable hood, and a reflective strip.

Nikwax Windproof

What it does: Nikwax Windproof uses a closely woven microfibre fabric which cuts wind chill and protects your insulation but still allows the movement of moisture away from the body. It can be treated with Nikwax durable water-repellency to deflect the rain.

bought one of these smocks this year, by far the best windproof piece of kit i own, mainly used whilst road cycling keeps the wind out whilst travelling at 30mph + yes i know its not cheap but it works!!!!!!!, 25th Nov, 2010

This is by far the best windproof I've owned. It's light, water repellent and windproof. Yes, it's not the lightest or smallest windproof on the market but it's reliable. It won't withstand downpours, it's not designed to, that's what the Velez is for. It's capable of withstanding light showers and hasn't failed on me. It's important to regularly reproof the coat in order to keep its water repellent finish. It works effectively on top of a base layer or directly next to the skin. I've also worn it on top of fleeces which creates a warm and windproof coat. I like the way in which the sleeves can be used to help vary your temperature especially as they can be rolled up like a shirt sleeves. Other features that I like are the adjustable wired hood and front pocket, which is large enough to hold an OS map.This is the first piece of clothing that goes in my rucksack, in fact it goes everywhere with me! It does what it says on the swing tag. It's not ultra stylish but practical and above all, reliable. I'd take reliability over style anytime. 18th Jun, 2010
