A fantastic boot for warmer weather Used whilst doing the 3 peaks challenge this year, very breathable and light Also used whilst on Tryfan and performed well on the scrambles Would happily buy again 2nd Jan, 2011

Although initially bought for easier more level walking. Have now well and truly used & abused these boots on all sorts of terrain ranging from wet wet days in the highlands, brecon and some of the more challenging scrambles in snowdonia. Superb boot if comfort is what you desire in a lighter fabric more stylish boot that something my great grandad used to wear ;-)

These boots are very comfortable! I recently went mountain tekking in Morrocco and were very breathable in the warmer climate. I would reccommend these boots. 3rd Nov, 2010

I bought a pair of these a few months ago and have recently been to North Wales to climb Tryfan and stroll up Snowdon. What a disaster! They have less grip than Teflon coated skateboards and so resulting in some very slow and nervous walking in all but the driest conditions.A lot of money for fancy looking boots that are only safe on the most level of terrain. They only do one thing well, and that is to keep your feet dry through marshy bog. As for anything else, forget it and spend your cash elsewhere.

 

hi there , we have no particular bad customer feedback for this product but this complaint is a generalised theme of most complaints about walking boots . walking boots are criticised for leaking , poor grip or high wear of the sole unit , a compromise between performance , durability and comfort has to be met and meindl have been succesful in meeting these criteria for many years now . conditions under foot are unpredictable and treacherous in most wet and rocky areas and we feel that this boot should perform no worse than any other boot in our range .
