At Taunton Leisure we like to employ staff that are committed to outdoor activities, on our staff we have climbers, walkers, people that have traveled the world, paddlers, skiers and lots more.

You will need lots of enthusiasm, great people skills and confidence to talk to customers about their activities and the equipment they might need. One minute you could be talking to a family about a tent for their summer holiday and the next be fitting a climbing harness.

Of course we don't expect you to know all the areas, in fact we are suspicious of applicants that say they do! Full training will be given and over the probationary period of three months you would expect to gain most of the key knowledge areas and skills.

Training and development doesn't stop their though, all stores have weekly training sessions, manufacturer training clinics and we also take staff 'on the hill' for walking & camping days & nights to gain experience of new products actually out there in the real world.
